We had a really nice meal - one of us had fish and the other steak -- both very nicely prepared. They were very accommodating of dietary requests and good wine by the glass. The views are magnificent and service is friendly -- it's not cheap but well worth it for the lovely location and good quality food and experience. A friend organised a catch up and booked us into their annual Japanese Feast event.To me, good Japanese cuisine involves subtle balance of flavours to highlight the key ingredients. What we got was 6 courses of heavy handed butchering of quality ingredients, sometimes with little regards to the traditions of Japanese cuisine (Salmon suveed in olive oil is not Japanese). We recently spent a delightful evening with overseas guests at the Harbour View Restaurant, which is located in the Sandringham Yacht Club premises. The food was great and nicely presented. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The bonus is the magnificent views across the bay at sunset
I recently came here in celebrating a very lovely couple friends whom tied the knot in the morning, my almost 3 years partner came to the event too. The menu had some wonderful selection of food. I picked salmon because I love salmon and my partner picked the mussels. The salmon and mussels were cook very well, and presentation was very modern; the staff that was allocated to our table was very polite. I even received my favourite drink with my liking. I ordered a glass of tomato juice and in request adding some tabasco sauce in it. I told him I want a nice amount in it, and indeed I got it. Later, my partner and I shared a trio of house-made sorbets; very well done again. Not too sweet, we were pleased that these scoops of sorbets stayed in shape and didn't melt. We went to another place ordered the same thing, we were disappointed that our ice-cream/sorbet had melted which kind of ruined our evening. Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff member who served us. I would return again if wasn't for a long drive from where I am.

Food is excellent. Service was also great. Good food is what we expect an often it is the service that will let a restaurant down. Keep up the good work Sandringham.
