What a delightful little 'hole in the wall' coffee shop/crepery. Met up with a friend for a mid morning treat and we had a great time. The crepes are lovely and the staff catered for my GF friend beautifully. The tea was served in beautiful vintage China which added such a gorgeous touch. My only negative comment is that the tables are too small to fit both meals and trays of tea on however thoroughly understand that due to the positioning of the cafe there would be very little room to do so. A couple more high chairs for lunching mums would also be well received. Thanks for a great experience - we'll be back!
This is basically a little 'hole in the wall' cafe with sidewalk seating. Self service orders which I do not have a problem with but if you are looking for a place to be waited on this is not the place for you. I went to brunch with a girlfriend and for us it was a lovely light alternative. The menu also has traditional breakfasts as well as crepes for those who prefer a traditional breakfast. I had the ham and cheese crepe which was lovely but for the price I would have thought they would have used a better quality of ham but that is just my personal preference. The coffee was lovely and the staff friendly. As with most sidewalk cafe's seating can be a bit topsy turvy but that just adds to the atmosphere. This little pocket of Sandgate is becoming popular and it is lovely to walk across the road later and sit in the park for a bit. The beach of course is also not far.
This is a very small cafe in Sandgate. The coffee is excellent and the creeps are wonderful. It isn't a huge area, so you may have to wait for a seat, but it's mismatched seating and china cups help make it an experience worth waiting for. The crepes are a lovely way to start the day. The service can be a bit slow - it's a small cafe, and looks to be only 2 on service, but it's a great place to people-watch.
Went here for coffee and some breakfast Coffee was good but not amazing I got the canadian crepe with bacon, banana and maple syrup.
The staff are poorly trained, failing at both greeting customers and taking ordersThe crepes are good, but expensive, and the coffee is poor.
