Denny's - Virginia Beach
Denny's
Description
Denny's is currently experiencing mixed reviews, showcasing a stark contrast in service and food quality. While some patrons praised attentive servers and delicious dishes like butter garlic bread and endless pancakes, others lamented soggy nachos and inadequate portions. The slow service, attributed to understaffing, often left customers waiting longer than expected. Cleanliness and attention to detail were also highlighted as areas needing improvement. Despite some negative experiences, there are glimmers of hope, with certain visits marked by warm greetings and substantial meals. Overall, this diner must step up its game in service and food consistency to truly satisfy its customers.

The food was amazing when my daughter and I visited. The butter garlic bread was absolutely incredible—I'd say it’s to die for! My daughter loved it so much that she wants to come back for more.
I visited the restaurant twice and had excellent experiences both times. The servers were attentive and checked on us several times without us having to ask for a coffee refill. I ordered the $6 endless pancakes, eggs, and hash browns, and my second plate arrived before I even had to request it. The kitchen was a bit slow, which I learned was due to a shortage of cooks. Overall, the food was good.
The service was excellent. I appreciated seeing the cooks wearing masks, but I was concerned when one server coughed forcefully into her hand and continued to serve without washing her hands. She then went outside for a smoke—do you think she washed her hands afterward?
Although the kitchen was quite noisy, the food was good. The service was acceptable. I have great memories of Denny's.
