Nice restaurant. Hasn't been since new owners took o e. Exacto same casual ambiance as before. Mostly same menu, but with a few new twists. Only detraction wax the waitress could have been a little more attentive. Also the meat was slightly over cooked on 2 of our dinners. The new source in the sauteed mushrooms was awesome. What User doesn't like about The Cork Tucson:
Prawns were fabulous, however, all other food was awful, we were disappointed. our original order was totally unavailable, and we were seated at 5pm right when they opened. The escargot was strange, served in a bisque odd texture. the prime rib was very thin, and uneven on the cook. View all feedback.
The food was very good and service was fine. Our biggest issue was that the menu online was different from the actual menu. So our planning ahead was of less value than we thought. We will return again in the future.
The noise level in the room was unbearable. The salads were good but the liver was overdone and the onions were not carmelized. The margarita was very weak. I have eaten at the cork before and was pretty happy. This was such a disappointment, especially since we were taking a friend for dinner.
Brian our server was exceptional, menu selections were outstanding. Area we sat was nice, noise level was fairly loud in our room unfortunately but did not affect our fantastic meal. We had mussels to start that were out of this world, entrees were lamb, blackened chicken and pork porterhouse and they did not disappoint!!! We were approached by Brandon, our busser who was so engaging as he filled our water and invited us to enjoy our experience. The Cork was lovely.
I have to say I am very disappointed. I had made reservations for mothers day and was so excited to do a family dinner with everyone. 1) We had not been informed in advance that we were not able to order off the regular menu because it was a limited menu for mothers day. 2) We order a chicken dish and I have to say it was the worst chicken I have ever had. Everyone sent it back because it was so dry you couldn't chew it, and it tasted like they seasoned it with a cup of salt. It was that bad. 3) We had ordered bread and it was served with frozen butter. I asked if I could get butter that was not frozen so the server microwaved it and brought us melted butter. 4) The rice was not cooked all the way and was not able to be eaten. 5) We also had to pay $11.00 for a bowl of cooked plain noodles because they did not have anything for children to eat. Everyone was hungry and irritated once we left. We went home and made sandwiches for dinner. Thank you for ruining mothers day dinner.
Mother's Day menu did not include three items we were going to order. The pinada colada was $12 and bread was $4, and the entrees were much more expensive than we had expected. Food was good tasting, but doubt that we would return. It used to be our favorite restaurant.
