I really enjoyed Sakari Sushi. They do have all you can eat sushi and it was great. Not sure how many more all you can eat sushi places there are in Tucson, but I only found this one after seeing a lot have stopped serving all you can eat. Again, very good and I will definitely be returning. View all feedback.
What Jess Mooney doesn't like about Sakari Sushi:
If you're a raw fish lover--like nigiri and sashimi--go elsewhere. This place is probably fine for cooked rolls and deep fried stuff, but if you like more authentic Japanese food, go somewhere else. The nigiri and sashimi I had were low grade and seemed to have just need thawed (terrible texture and soaking wet). The hotate scallop was mostly mayo. I threw most of my raw items away. The all-you-can-eat feels scammy. The fish pieces are really small, and the rice bed is bigger than normal in the nigiri sushi. I've eaten here several times and noticed a marked difference from ordering nigiri ala carte. Feels like yucky behavior on their part, I'll not be coming back.
The food was good quality and price, but the service was slow, and the atmosphere was dull. The staff were friendly and attentive. They still offer all you can eat. It's not the best sushi restaurant in town, but it's good for a sushi fix on a weekday.
It started off poorly as we were a party of four and they gave us one menu for the entire table. Service was confusing, slow and inconsistent. We had a variety of rolls and nigiri which were mediocre at best. Better than at a grocery store, but not worth going out for. The all you can eat may be a good deal if you can eat a lot at one sitting from the limited menu. The restaurant is tired and worn with one side well lit and the other side dark. It may be a good place for take out if you live nearby, but I won't return to dine in.
Me and my Fiancé came in for my birthday, we both decided to get the all you can eat. I was worried at first the choices would be very limited, but in fact I was able to get all my favorite rolls and more. We were served very quickly by friendly faces, I definitely felt welcomed, and well taken care of. The list of rolls we got are; California Roll Tempura, Spicy Crab Tempura, Tucson Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Alaska Roll, Scooping Roll, and the Philadelphia Roll. We also got a few Nigiri; Red Snapper, Scallop, and Surf Clam. Everything tasted very fresh and wonderfully made. I'm very happy I came here for my birthday! Thank you for the wonderful service and wonderful Sushi!
