What a great place to interact with adoptable kitties! They all seemed relaxed and happy. Faint smell of cat food upon entering, but what do you expect? There are lots of places for the cats to relax with people, and also up high or in little caves when they want to be alone. Next door is a cafe that serves espresso drinks as well as Italian ice and lemonade. There is also a shop that sells stuff for cats, and cat th... View all feedback.
What Mark Hubi doesn't like about El Jefe Cat Cafe:
What an absolute rip off! They want you to pay to see the cats that you 're trying to pay $120 to adopt. Imagine if animal shelters worked this way lol, no cat would ever get adopted. $12/per person per hour just to look at cats to try to adopt. If you want to charge for people not adopting, that 's fine, but not people who are looking to adopt. That 's double-charging. As far as being the cheapest cat cafe in the na... View all feedback.

If you want to charge for people not adopting, that 's fine, but not people who are looking to adopt. That 's double-charging. As far as being the cheapest cat cafe in the nation, that 's just a lie. Many are less and here 's just one example (see pic). Also, never heard of admission being by the hour, its always for as long as you want. The fact that they blatantly lie about being the cheapest in the nation tells you all you need to know about this place. Biggest scam in history lol. PS PACC is $30 adoption fee and no viewing fee like these guys.
My Favorite place in the world . El Jefe Cat Cafe has the friendliest and most empathetic staff Ever. The cats are well cared for and get to showcase their unique personalities. May I please give 100000000000 stars? Purr fect. I had my birthday party last year and it was cat atitic
We truly enjoyed our first time at a cat lounge. There were so many comfortable seating options and it was so hard to not adopt them all!!
First visit. The website and the actual setting, very different. The pictures look bright, place clean and inviting. The cats were pretty lethargic. I imagine with so many people and children touching them so much was why they didn't want to be petted much. I have thought of that. But you could tell they really wanted their space. There was only one poor really sweet volunteer there and she got bit a couple of times. On the second floor the cats again didn't interact with each other or seem to want much touching. So i gave then space. One cat was throwing up in several spots. The volunteer said she needed to get paper towels from the bathroom. What was shocking was, no isolation for the sick cat, or any big attempt to disinfect the area. There appeared to be another cat on that same floor she was suppose to give some medicine to. These are cats adults and children touch and then go to the next cat. How many of those poor lathargic cats weren't feeling well. Who knows. I don't write reviews to dispel businesses, but these poor sweet cats are NOT in an environment which appears is capable of providing adequate care or time for the cats well being. That is just what i observed. Was very disturbing.
The cats were a bit lethargic and some needed medical attention, but when you take in strays, that stuff is all a part of the job. Folks were nice and genuinely care about the felines. I think with some.serious donations, that could be a wonderful place.
