A brief wait was our only obstacle to an exceedingly delicious breakfast. The entire meal was sprinkled with allegria! There was a surprising short time between ordering and delivery of hot, fresh food by the friendly and joyous staff. The small dining area contributes to the family friendly atmosphere. What an absolutely delightful restaurant! Delicious food and wonderful service. On the wall it reads, “enjoy this moment with alegria!” Indeed, our day has started with much happiness. Thank you!
Love the customer service here. Everyone is super friendly all the time. The food has also never disappointed. This is one restaurant I frequent and tell everyone about.
Chilaquiles Divorciados! Lord have mercy! Some of the best, down to earth, incredible, authentic Mexican comfort food (made with love and cooked from the soul) I have ever experienced. The beans hit different and I can 100% proclaim that Buendia has the best beans on this planet. Gastronomically amazing all around. The Buendia staff are super kind and emanate nothing but positive energy. The ambience is lovely also.Anna did the looking after and she was absolutely wonderful. Great human being.Brought some Carne con Chile burritos to my son and he enjoyed them thoroughly. After one bite, he was already thinking about getting more.Buendia is the truth. Top notch. God level Mexican food.Thank you for blessing The Soul Pueblo with your presence and nutrients.I'm Ciphurphace and I approve this message.
A bit noisy due to the space (not their fault). A different set of chairs would make a huge difference in the seating. Those are the only bad parts. The simple decorations fit it well. My wife says the place and food remind her of her Nana 's kitchen when she was little. The staff will sprinkle the jars of Alegria (happiness) on your meal when it is delivered to you.Been there twice now and the food has been excellent both times. Had the stuffed poblano the first time and it left me stuffed and happy. Had a ranchero beef burritos and cochinita pibil empenada on the second. The empanada wrap is made from corn masa rather than flour, which adds another layer of flavor. My wife has had the Dorado tacos twice now and it will probably be her go-to here.If you 're a coffee drinker, I highly recommend the Cafe de Olla, which is brewed in a clay pot with (I think) brown sugar, cinnamon and possibly chocolate. It is stronger than normal coffee, but not bitter. My wife definitely recommends the cinnamon tea if you 're a tea drinker.
This is my third time there the third time I've ordered the same thing? It's that good.I met up on my last visit with a friend I hadn't seen in almost two years. The staff didn't rush us, like most restaurants. They'd fill our water or coffee let us catch up. That's rare for me, as I always feel rushed at other restaurants. The food was excellent. It was my friend's first time and she said she'd be back. I know I will.
