marine tavern, very well decorated, in the area of trees in front of the kursaal. local with a wide range of beers per bottle and 10 taps. They throw the beer very well. assortment of spirit, price without abuse and assisted by fast and friendly staff. if we add that they put very good music to understand us, that of all life, and that has a spectacular terrace. What Blueblarog doesn't like about La Taberna Del Picaro:
Slow, poor service, and not very knowledgeable of what pintxos are .... And the food was nothing special. The waitresses don't know much about their own food, which took ages to be served, and some cold. To top it up...when I asked if they had Keler beer, they like ones at me as if I had said something in an alien language (for those who don't know, its the name of the most famous local beer) View all feedback.
La Taberna del Picaro is a simple cafe bar on the other side of the river near the Kursaal. We just popped in for a simple breakfast and had a very good potato tortilla that was tasty and nicely moist in the centre. Prices were very reasonable and the service good.
Very nice little pincho bar in the Gros district. In addition to an elegant indoors with chandeliers and smiling servers, there were a few sit-down tables outside where we enjoyed our ritual glass of Txomin Etxaniz and the house speciality, Cochinita Pibil. A sort of Mexican pulled pork flavorfully spiced, it was generously portioned though perhaps not as delicate as other pinxtos we ate in the city. A nice stopover worth 7.20 Euros if you’re in the area.
Finally a Pintxos type bar with excellent freshly made food for vegetarians including rice, peppers and cheese, roast potatoes, risotto and caprese salad. Definitely worth the walk across from the old town.
Amplio lugar cómodo y con buena ubicación. Buenas bebidas y el Servicio de la barra es muy bueno
Fantástico lugar para comer, unas copas, o simplemente un pintxito. El salmorejo, de los mejores de Donosti. La simpatía de sus dueños y camareros es mítica, especialmente la de Ander, una atención magnífica y siempre de muy buen humor. Recomendadísimo al 100%.
