You don't expect a selection of top quality food at the bar at the end of your round of golf. The food at the LaReserva Club was out of this world
Afternoon tea on the terrace was a wonderful experience and the perfect event for our more mature hen party! The location is beautiful and the food tasted just as good as it looked. A special mention to the staff, who made us feel very special and coped admirably with a last minute notice of a gluten-free member of the party.
Had the chance to have lunch with 6other friends. Great place, great service and great food. Service was fast and food was great. They going to start doing delivery take away in the future.
At first, the Wines were killed...next, most menu items were...in the end the GOOD waiters were. The PERFECT example of HOW TO RUIN a Restaurant.
Having seen positive reviews about L’Olive and impressed by the photos posted on its website, my wife and I booked a table for two on Sunday 3rd March looking forward to enjoying a Sunday Roast. Sadly we were bitterly disappointed! We should have realised that all was not well when on arriving we discovered that we were the only two bookings for lunch. Hardly encouraging, but as we were well received by the staff and liked the ambience of the restaurant we decided to persevere. It started well with a lovely starter of smoked salmon which was a generous serving, well presented and delicious. Unfortunately the much advertised roast beef that arrived for our second course was truly awful, and bore no resemblance to the lovely photos we had seen on the La Reserva app. It comprised of thin precooked strips of extremely well done beef that I think had been frozen from the previous sunday, warmed up and served covered in an awful gravy to try and cover it up. It was not freshly cooked and was literally as tough as old boots. For some strange reason it tasted smoky which I think was because it had been defrosted on a barbecue or kitchen grill. There was no separate pot of gravy and no one asked if we wanted to have gravy poured over the food. The Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were cold and tasted as if they had been recycled. We complained to the waiters who agreed that the food was substandard and returned it to the kitchen. The Chef did not come to apologise and there appeared to be no restaurant manager to discuss the matter with us. We then ordered something else from the menu which was OK, but not wonderful, or met our expectation of the quality we expected from the restaurant as promoted by La Reserva. Whilst there we saw large plates of Club sandwiches being served outside which looked both fresh and delicious, so it appears that rather than a fine dining experience L’olive Is better suited for bar snacks and a beer? The food is not cheap so we expected a much better quality meal than we were served. The only positive was the friendly and polite staff, in particular Juanma and Anuar.
