Wonderful, festive, but low-key Caribbean atmosphere, sure to put you in a good mood. We've been going there for years, and it's become one of our favorite places. The food is varied, delicious, and the presentation just adds to the appeal. The calamari is better than any other place we've had it, and the cowboy steak is an unforgettable blend of tastes and textures. And then there's the sangria! The prices are reaso... What Chen Yang doesn't like about Whipper Snapper:
The portion was very generous, however the sauce of my Cajun shrimp was so very thick (too much cream I'm guessing) that covered up the good flavor and became quite heavy half way through. Same thing with the chicken skewers. The meat was so nice and tender but the peanut sauce was so greasy that kinda ruined the dish for me. View all feedback.
The restaurant offers a wonderful, festive yet relaxed Caribbean vibe that is guaranteed to brighten your day. We've been dining here for years, and it has become one of our top favorite spots. The menu is diverse and the food is delicious, with presentation that enhances the experience. The calamari is the best we've ever tasted, and the cowboy steak delivers an unforgettable mix of flavors and textures. And let's not forget the sangria! Prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. If you haven't had the chance to visit Whipper Snapper yet, treat yourself—you won't regret it!
This restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind and absolutely charming, with fantastic food and excellent service! I highly recommend it! The back patio feels like a little piece of paradise!
For dessert, we opted for the bread pudding, but it fell flat. It resembled a lump of meat smothered in gravy and seemed like it might have been microwaved. The edges were tough, making it difficult to cut. The sauce was decent, but not impressive, so I wouldn’t suggest that dessert either. Overall, I genuinely wanted to like this restaurant and hope they can improve the dishes we tried. The service was excellent—friendly and efficient—and the outdoor seating was pleasant. I might consider giving them another chance, especially when the pork shoulder is back on the menu, as I’ve heard great things about it.
It was a nice ambience, sitting was out side on 4th street and their was good live music. We had the potatoes, shrimp, bbq guava wings and ceviche. Flavors were great. Definitely will be returning.
