This restaurant was absolutely fantastic! As we were nearing the end of our meal, the staff were incredibly accommodating and assisted us with our orders. We tried a variety of their specialties, and both the bluefin tuna and ika nigiri were outstanding! I highly recommend giving them a try. The king crab miso is something that will be remembered long after the meal. You have to experience it for yourself! View all feedback.
What RichardD doesn't like about Sakura Sushi:
The lunch service during the middle of the week was very slow. The edamame was just average. The special roll had slices of tuna on top that were too thick, making it awkward to eat. I never thought I would find myself complaining about having too much fish! View all feedback.
I have been a bay area resident for many years and this is probably the best place that I come back to constantly. The restaurant is family owned and the owner makes sure the sushi is always fresh. I usually order the triple toro roll, salmon toro nigiri, bluefin toro nigiri, lion king, and kamachi kama. They have a special menu where if you ask for toro (aka the belly of the fish), they will usually have it. I dont think it is on the menu because it is special but i would highly recommend ordering it!
I ordered the 40 piece party tray and it was so beautifully put together, fresh and delicious! I ordered for pick up and the everyone that greeted me was so friendly and excitable. I will definitely be back for more!
This place is the hidden gem in Northern San Rafael Tara Linda area. Absolutely amazing food quaint Japanese atmosphere and generally pretty great service! Really lucky this place is so close to where I live.Food: 5 5

Loved everything we ordered here! The long crab miso soup was very delicious with a generous portion of crab meat, albeit just a little bit too rich for my taste even though it was tasty and flavorful. Just something I wouldn't be able to finish on my own but sharing it is perfect.The Real Crab California Roll and Baked Scallop Roll were both delicious! Pairing our meal with hot green tea felt so nice.
