Very nice authentic Mexican restaurant in San Rafael. Good combination of dishes with lunch and ala carte item makes this ideal for you to choose what your heart and stomach desire. Very friendly staff that will explain well once they know your nutritional needs. The dishes are very tasty and as advertised. A somewhat expensive side for the dishes, but overall I am glad to stop at this place. View all feedback.
What Marlin Sipes doesn't like about Celia's Mexican:
I ordered a Chili Relleno, along with rice and beans. The rice and beans were excellent. However, the Chili Relleno was not as advertised; it was missing most of the poblano chili and should have been called "half a cheese pack" instead. View all feedback.
The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the drinks are top-notch. This is my number one choice for Mexican cuisine!

I had a disappointing experience at Celia's tonight regarding the bar service. I paid my $150 bill and left a $2 tip, which was all I had left in my wallet. The bartender seemed upset and even expressed that he doesn’t accept “charity” from anyone, asking me to take back my tip. His reaction left me feeling disrespected. It’s frustrating to feel unappreciated as a customer, especially when I’m supporting the restaurant's economy by dining there. If I had more money, I would have definitely tipped more, but sometimes you have to stick to a budget.
Wow! Celia is AWESOME!!! The food is DELICIOUS!!!! The staff is friendly and efficient! The Margaritas are the best!!! Was just a few weeks in San Rafael and eaten three times here! It won't be the last!??????
Been coming here since I was a kid. Not only nostalgic but amazing margaritas! *Update: food and service has gone downhill unfortunately :
