Cafe and Boutique Viva Calypso

We have been to this restaurant a number of times, a little expensive in comparison to other Melaque restaurants, but it is always good, they have specials most days. Please not this is not a late night restaurant and closes late afternoon

Late lunch of the most delicious Thai coco shrimp sandwich and the burger with grilled pineapple. Flavour of sandwich was superb and the burger was a large juicy fresh patty. Going back for sure. Open until 5 all day except at 3 Sundays and closed Tuesday.

We visited friends for a light lunch and sat at one of the outdoor tables. The menu (see photo) included some vegetarian choices; we tried 2 - the vegetarian spring rolls (not fried) and the vegetarian quesadillas. Both were tasty. Especially liked the peanut dipping sauce for the rolls. Calypso is a little unusual, with half in fact being a boutique offering clothes for sale! We thought the service was good and prices were reasonable. Friend said his smoothie was very good. We will return next time we are in Melaque and crave a veggie bite.

My favorite curry chicken salad/sandwich, and a good burger for my honey! The service is fabulous, and the Boutique is fun too.
