What Alex T doesn't like about La Marrucola:
The night we ate at Marrucola, it was under pressure as there was a large group dining there, and we did not greatly enjoy our meal. We had a set menu which was rather meat-heavy (in the Tuscan way). There was a salad that was overdressed, and a risotto that was undercooked. The local wines and biscotti did, however, make up for some of the problems! Very nice place,I read negative reviews but I widely believed during my stay. we took a room with a mezzanine behind the swimming pool, really nice, had everything and was clean, but the big bathroom and especially the shower (from the doccino the water went down well but not very well) would like a refreshment. a note: in the driveway to reach the room it takes more light because in the evening it is too dark and maybe above the door of the room a light to see the hole of the lock. There was a swing for children on the front. the perfect swimming pool in my opinion, my daughter of years has enjoyed, had two heights so sure also for children and there were several in fact. It was not as green as I read in a review on the contrary there was a lot of chlorine. It is true that the structure is also open to people who come out alone for the pool or to eat at the restaurant but there is room for everyone, you are not massed and you are well. there were two events during our stay but at us they took nothing! in the pool we were all and at the restaurant we were divided by the event and indeed so we could listen to the owner singing, a magnificent tenor. the restaurant a wonder, few dishes but spectacular compliments to the chef. the proper breakfast in place and the cakes made by them the top. the chickens turned a little ' but we were in farm so there is and my daughter finally could see them live. Anyway, every morning they washed and cleaned everything. degotation of excellent wines produced by them, as well as the super good holy wine and oil and a vinegar that they call “agretto” I think. I recommend it and we will return.
