The food is excellent, and the service is friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate that they have a kid-friendly menu and that kids eat for free on Sundays. The service is quick, and the seafood dishes are cooked perfectly. Finding parking on Sunday is a breeze; there are plenty of options on the streets and in nearby covered parking garages. Really faster service, in a casual and upscale environment in the interior of san mateo. I ordered the spinach salad with Scottish salmon, my wife the fish tacos. both were excellent, albiet 25 dollar per total 60 dollar to lunch (10 dollar tipp included). it is steep for a quick bite at lunch, but we are executed and we will mean the establishment.
Didn't expect to find a restuant this nice so close to my hotel in San Mateo. The atmosphere is very warm and vibrant. The food is amazing and so are the desserts. You Must try the Skirt steak and the Key lime Pie!! You wont regret it :
Tasty, interesting dishes with unique combinations. Tried the sole which was really delicious with the lemon caper sauce. Also had the Chilean sea bass with shrimp and mussels which was also very good, although I think the sole was slightly better. Set in an old renovated bank, there's some old pieces of the safe lying around as decor.
Decent place to go out and at at. There are a number of unique dishes on the menu that certainly is worth a try. For those who are fans of impossible meat, this restaurant has a couple of dishes that uses that well. Slightly disappointed in the Ginger Braised Short Ribs because it was bit too chewy and the flavor was a bit bland, didn't penetrate the meat fully to give it a full marinated feel. I also wasn't digging the sauce, but the place is still good.
Good food, huge portions. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Was a little hard to find parking spaces. No wait at all, and the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. Kids friendly.
