Tacos El Flamingo - San Mateo

I ask for some tacos and a burrito but I also ask for the meat to be well done cook toasted and they gave me the meat not what I expected. The service was good, is just the minor detail the food needs to be how the customer wants it.

Ordered takeout and when I got home I realized they mixed up the order. Food wasn’t great.

Really good house made salsa and guac, delicious fajitas, sangria, some big screens worth a visit! Karaoke Thursdays FYI and live music, comedy night etc. on the docket. Support a great local business guy started w a taco truck and moved into this location on 4th and Ellsworth show them some love!!!

I had the ceviche and it was nicely balanced and not too sour. Molcajete was a table favorite and similarly a nice balance of flavors without any of the meats or cheese being overpowering. Fair price points and friendly owners, great space for groups. I'd recommend!

This post is long over due since we have been here at least 5 times since finding this gem of a restaurant. We have tried something new each visit and without fail we have yet to be disappointed. We are truly delighted every visit. The food is fantastic and staff are always warm and welcoming. This is a must try if you are ever on the peninsula.
