In 2020, this was one of my favorite places to eat, but unfortunately, it has temporarily closed for various reasons. I truly hope it can reopen someday! It offered the most authentic Northern Chinese cuisine in downtown San Mateo. I used to visit almost every week. Having grown up in a Chinese city where noodles are a staple, I can confidently say their noodles are the best I've tasted among all the restaurants I've... View all feedback.

Note that I’m *not* a person who enjoys spicy food, here judging a restaurant called “Spicy Heaven” mostly on its few non-spicy dishes. But I’ve passed this establishment many times and finally decided to try out their dim sum selection, pictured so temptingly on their storefront. It’s ok, although the dumplings (and xlb) had a spice (not hot-spicy) that I couldn’t identify but wasn’t expecting in a dumpling. The bro... View all feedback.
Pretty decent little Chinese restaurant in northern style, which at the weekend liked the breakfast.
Not that I would know first hand but this place seems pretty authentic. Regardless, food was very good and service was pretty good too. The dumplings were just ok with a selection of only 3 but if I want a feast of dumplings, I'll go to a dumpling house. The pork in the braised pork on preserved vegetables was amazing. Definitely a solid experience for our first time there and we will definitely be back!

DH who *does* enjoy spicy food was neither impressed nor particularly disappointed in his spicy beef. Orders over $50 receive a free dish from the dim sum selection.
This is not a real chef owned Chinese restaurant! The Chinese pancake 煎饼果子 doesn’t deserve the name!!! Unless you tried a real one in Beijing, please don’t try it here. You will get a completely-wrong first impression of the Chinese pancake. We also ordered green onion lamb. It tasted so bad. It is sad that people does not cook a good quality Chinese food here. The service is slow and not good as well.
I ordered this restaurant's food on UberEATS, and I've been waiting for it for at least an hour. But all they did was pushing the delivery time later and later. They spend 1 hour to prepare my food. R they planing the vegetables or feeding the pig to get pork to make my food?
