What Helen Ekweonu doesn't like about Santa Ramen:
Came here for lunch on a weekday and they were half full, busier than expected. The karaage was fried very well and texture was spot on crunchy exterior with juicy interior. Also loved how you can just order two pieces. However, the chicken had an odd smell and taste to it that was kind of gamey, not pleasant. In A Nutshell: Santa Ramen has been around for a very long time. It was one of the very first Japanese ramen restaurants in the Bay Area before they exploded in popularity now you find them all over the place (just like how sushi started out in the 80's, poke boba in the 2000's, etc...
