Guadalajara Grill - San Mateo

Been coming here since I was in middle school, and I'm in my thirties now. It's still our go to taqueria. The food has been consistent all these years. Reasonably priced. I usually order the enchrito burrito. So delicious and such a big portion. Meals come with chips and they have a small salsa bar.

I absolutely loved the food at this restaurant! The portions are huge, I was completely stuffed. The guacamole and chips were fantastic. The Enchilada and Chile Relleno combo with rice and beans brought back memories of my youth in Los Angeles, the Mexican cuisine was really well made. The Chile Relleno was huge, as big as my leg! It was amazing, I ate every bite. The beans were not your typical refried pintos, they were pinkish white and cooked perfectly, and the rice was deliciously tomatoey and fluffy. I also tried the shrimp taco, loaded with grilled shrimp and cilantro, served with a side of limes and great corn tortillas. The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. I will definitely be ordering from them again soon. Thank you very much for the excellent service! You have to try them out now, they are conveniently located on the border of Belmont and San Mateo.

Portions have gotten bigger, food taste much better too. They still have a fresh daily salsa bar.

A nice cozy little place, as a little salsa bar fountain drinks, and a cooler that has more beverage choices. The staff was friendly and the food came out fairly quick. My Carnita super burrito had good flavor. I just wish that the ingredients were distributed better. The Carne Asada plate was the choice of my girlfriend, I did try the beans and the meat and both tasted really well. I would definitely return here.
