Dahlia Mexican Grill - San Mateo

My family and I visited for lunch on Saturday and had a wonderful experience. We would definitely recommend. The chips were tasty and homemade, and the salsas (green and red) were also delicious. They were very accommodating of our few special requests,and the service we received from Edgar was impeccable. We enjoyed the chicken Fajitas, an assortment of tacos and the chicken Cesar. We didn’t have a single complaint and hope to be enjoying Dahlia for years to come. We’re sorry we didn’t try it sooner and think it’s the perfect spot for a meal before or after the movies.

Missing staff made the service slow. Our servers were trying to keep up with the amount of people in restaurant. Like a lot of food places, Dahlia needs more wait staff.

First time at the restaurant. Service was terrible. Our service didn’t know answers nor could suggest things when asked. He also didn’t understand us when we asked questions. I also had to return my drink due to a fly in the drink. Would have thought they would have given it feee but didn’t. My sons dinner was wrong and he wouldn’t eat it. Never could get a server to come over to get it corrected. We will not be returning as there are way better Mexican restaurants in the area.

Great food and service. Very large portions. We would go back.

Service was almost nonexistent snd when we got some he was not engaged at all. He messed up on the order and spilled the sangria while pouring.
