Truly a great find in a neighborhood restaurant! An amazing menu of Russian, Eastern European and Philippine cuisine. Have been here twice and will be back more. The food is excellent prepared with quality ingredients. A very friendly staff providing excellent service. View all feedback.
What John Alhelm doesn't like about Baltica:
We went here because other reviews indicated it was good. Took a very long time for our drinks to arrive. They have a bar, but don't have the knowledge to make mixed drinks. Fiancé ordered a rum and coke and they didn't know how to mix it...I ordered iced tea and they forgot to bring it. For our meal both plates came within 5 minutes of placing our order an indication the food was prepared in advance and reheated. I... View all feedback.
Went to this place by chance. Great find! Food and drinks were great, service was great. We will definitely be back!
Good food, good service. You can find some usual things for the Russian people like borsch, blini, oladi, okroshka. Prices are fine about $16 for entry, $8 9 f it salad. Staff speak Russian.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, but not as familiar as could be with food preparations. Atmosphere is interesting. Food is OK, but not special. We (4 of us) found portions ample, temperature good, all generally on salty side. Milkfish was overcooked. Bar has some interesting drinks. Did not try any Texas BBQ items. Nothing really stood out to impress us. Pricing is fair average. We'd choose several other area restaurants before this one; sorry.
We wanted to stay close to home so went to Baltica for the first time. Food was very good and service even better. Our waiter, Neil?, gave us his recommendations, all of which were very good. We enjoyed our dinners. I think the first Friday of every month there is live music.
It 's been a long day since the days of the multitude of Russian restaurants in the Richmond, when one could pick and choose. Now, it 's either the Red Tavern which is OK or a couple of other inconsequential Russian restaurants. If you are a tourist I guess that 's OK. I 'm used to real Russian food, and I don 't mean gobs of sour cream or mayo. Baltica is a very nice change to all that. I 'm glad they did away with this Russian filipinno menus. I mean...REALLY. They go to their own places anyway. I 'd recommend it to anyone wanting to try something truly different. And moderately priced.
