I had the pleasure of enjoying some of the best Peruvian food I've ever tasted at this outstanding family-owned restaurant. It may look simple, but it's incredibly popular. I was staying at a hotel near the airport and decided to take a taxi after discovering this place on OpenTable. I'm so glad I made that choice! View all feedback.
What Piebaker doesn't like about Andes Cafe:
We visited expecting to savor the flavors of Peru, but unfortunately, we were let down. The food was tasteless, overcooked, and dry, and the prices were too high for what we received. The server spent most of her time in the back, either glued to her phone or having lunch with friends. Whenever we needed assistance, we had to call for it ourselves. It's no surprise that there were so few customers in the restaurant. View all feedback.
Delicious Peruvian food. I love the potatoes best. Not a lot of parking and very homey decor (with soccer on the tv) but the food is fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. Waitstaff are industrious.
Food is always good, the ceviche is great, I wish I had asked for Lomo saltado, it looked good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Best Peruvian food in San Mateo...our team enjoyed it all
Food was great very unique but wonderfully surprising. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'll be coming back with my friends pretty soon!
Awesome food, great staff. Ambiance is not fancy, but has something homely to it. It's a cafe, after all!
