Shai Yo Thai - San Marcos

I ordered a pad see ew with shrimp and the server asked me to choose a spice level from a scale of 1 to 5. She ended up giving me an extremely spicy dish. I can't imagine how spicy a level 5 would have been. Unfortunately, when my noodles arrived, they were undercooked and rubbery, which completely ruined my appetite. I have had better meals at other places.

The overall experience at the restaurant was excellent, but the Thom Kha soup was disappointing. It tasted more like sour coconut water. Additionally, I wasn't happy about having to pay extra for meat in my dish.

The food was excellent, I ordered takeout and the level of spice in the noodles was just right.

We all really enjoyed our departure from this place. we are not long here, but one in our group noticed that it had its favorite meal in san marcos so far. they get a hurdle level that is realistic for them. most people will be satisfied with a 1 . I love spicy eating and 2 was almost too much for some people in our group. it was quite spicy at 2 and my opinion was perfect, but everyone else thought it was almost too spicy. independent of the fact that the taste was there and we enjoyed it!

I was too late for lunch and was very happy I did! will surely come back!
