What User doesn't like about La Viga Seafood and Oyster Bar:
First of all I will say that this not a bad place, it's actually very nice and people there seems to be making an effort to make you have a good experience, although I feel like their system doesn't keep up with the flow. It...took me to long to get sited and also to get my food. Food is good and prices aren't bad, good location but sometimes it is hard to find a parking spot. View all feedback.
Good food and service. the place is small but comfortable. the price is not too expensive and they can use a bar as restaurant or lika. I will come back
It was the late afternoon of the birthday of my host, when josé luis, his best friend foras, a young doctor, and I arrived in this imposing restaurant in a very lively corner of san luis potosí. it has a huge glass wall that opens on the above-mentioned corner, no pretty picture. we have made the last table that was the first of the front doors, and a waiting line formed right behind us. left of the doors and along the glass wall there were 2 long, raised floor heights with tables, to a wide open area in the middle, which led to bar to the right and more sitting to the back. the deck is very high with exposed wood, the place is full of light, but feels too airy and it was quite loud, so we had to scream each other. we brittle a waiter 100 pesos, to take care of us extra well, ordered ceviche (must indicate without mayonaise), fried baits and garlic garnelen plus chips, house guacamole (again, without mayonaise,) beer and fine tequila. the drinks came instantly and the tapas quite fast, no problems there, but everything was even oversalted to my salty taste, so we too much to drink to wash it off and order more food to try to stay quite sober without pampering like every single dish we ordered was over salted. to be through the front doors, the people around us had to mill in and out and talk about the roar of the road behind and the cave-shaped thinning room at the front, but it was also a primo spot for the people watching. the customers were decided nouveau-rich güeros (white Mexican:) pretentious, dressed to the nine, to see and see there. the personal was brown and much more visual representative for the Mexican nation. as the evening began, a younger crowd started to dominate the scene more loosely and louder and the service fell when our waiter went. as a birthday we have cooked another waiter and celebrated until the end of the day at 10 o'clock on Sunday. the bill came to 350.00 usd $16 in bribe and $35 in tips; neither the eating nor the intention nor the ambiente was worth it, and the service would have been terrible if we had not paid extra. the one bargain was the snaps, we need to have much more than a bottle of la herradura reposado and maybe have consumed 15 beers, but all savings here quickly evaporated through the taxi fare.

We went to this little seafood bistro for a late lunch and found a full of octopus, garnel and mush. in our group we had mostly shellfish marinated ceviche style. the fuente de marisco (fruuntain of seafood) was the most fascinating, a three-part selection. oysters, giant puwns, oktipus, crab legs and fish. I also enjoyed the agua chile this is a cold suppe with pieces of the seafood served their choice either white (not spicy) or black (picture in tinted fish color). our group of 5 shared both black and white agua chile and a fuente de marisco. this plus a local beer for a fine afternoon meal.
Great service and eating is delicious! we asked for the grilled fish and the aguachile, so recommended! the manager was so nice to us, offered free drinks for the taste the special dinge of the place. small, cozy, but an amazing place to go in San...Luis
