Stopped in for the Wednesday night mix and match happy hour and it was really excellent. Mix and match is picking any of the following items: taco, tostada, enchilada, chile Arellano, beans or rice for a dollar each item.... YES $1.00 US each item..... Best deal we have seen in years and the food was awesome especially the chile rellanos. Drink specials too. Chelo is lovely and her staff is always pleasant and accomm... View all feedback.
Chelo's is a great place to have a good meal at a reasonable price. Closed during the summer. They have a FB page to check their hours.
Just a short trip from San Felipe will net you a great breakfast. We discovered this place in and visit it often for Sunday breakfast. It is clean, easy to find parking, and the service from the Lopez family is great. The food? VERY...GOOD. My wife loves the chile relleno omelet, I prefer the pancakes with nuts. I also had them fix sliced potatoes with green peppers and onions. We go back frequently. You will not be disappointed.
Feeling full and happy! On our most recent trip to San Felipe we ate brunch at Chelo's Cafe in the South Campos again. The food was fresh, hot and yummy, service was quick and polite. They even brought out a birthday pancake decorated with swirls...of chocolate, colorful sprinkles and a firecracker candle on top for my husband's birthday, the **** mary I had was excellent as well. Great family owned restaurant that we enjoy visiting when we go to San Felipe
The first time we stopped at Chelo's after they had closed and met the owners who are nice people! We learned that this local eatery has been in business for years! We made it a point to stop at Chelo's next time so we...happened to be on on our way to Puertecitos to soak in the Mineral Hot Springs on the beach and decided to have breakfast. It was a homemade Mexican meal and we ate every bite! We highly recommend Chelo's when you're driving south on Highway from San Felipe at around KM in a tiny little town called Delicias. If you blink your eyes too long, you might drive right past it. Look for the sign on the right and you'll see Chelo's
Not only is the food fresh, hot, and yummy but the prices are really great! The family that runs Chelo's is not only cooking it up in the kitchen but serving you as well. She recently started a happy hour and a great new selection...of appetizers too! Breakfast is great but the grilled local caught shrimp plate is to die for... We go down every couple of months for a week or two and eat at least one meal a day there. Inside seating as well as patio.
