Delicious rice noodle restaurant with very quick and efficient service. Broth is served in individual pots and are super hot when it arrives to the table. Many accompaniments are served along side depending on what you order. We have tried the mala spicy and the mala fish. Both are super good choices and are likely the signatures of Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle. Also tried the century egg, which was also delicious... View all feedback.
What Cartier L doesn't like about Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle:
Soup was a little blended and seems like it's missing some flavors. Sometimes just focusing how spicy it is takes away from the strength of the original soup base which is the foundation of any soup noodle. Popcorn chicken seemed like it's too big of a chunk of meat so it's not very tasty.Service is okay considering there was only 4 table with guests while I was there but the server never did come by the table to ask... Very friendly greeting. We were helped with selection of options as this was a new dining experience. The food service was unique, and the huge bowl of piping hot broth was most delicious...into which we added the various condiments and noodles which enhanced the flavor of the soup. We loved it so much we went back for dinner two days later! We tried a different option and loved it all over again. Not to be missed!
read moreAfter 3 visits I still really like this place. I tried the pork broth, hot and sour, and spicy. It's all very good and tasty. I keep going back to bring other friends to experience the flavor.Only complaint was we very specifically asked if the suan la was a meat based broth and we were told no. I'm still not sure if that response was no, no meat comes with it, or no, the broth doesn't have meat. Because after we said no meat and verified it, the platter came with a chicken wing and 3 slices of beef. And we found a chunk of what seemed to be ground beef but was likely the stewed beef, in the soup. For someone abstaining from meat that was kind of a turnoff. The 2 servers were eating French fries on the dining side of the window with their gloves while waiting to run food out, with the same gloves on, which was a little weird. I really love the flavor but after repeated visits it's apparent where the weak spots are. Would still recommend if you just want to try a new flavor and don't mind parking 2 blocks away on an evening. We did not need the wait-list except for my first lunchtime visit, but utilized it every time.
read moreAtmosphere: can get busy and loud inside Service: average and might be slow if it's their busy day/night. Food: comparing to the authentic Gui Lin noodle, this one is on the sweeter end, not impressed but a good place to hang out with friends and experience. Affordability: affordable. Giving this place an extra star just for how hard to find decent (non fast food) and affordable restaurants in Bay Area these days.

Overall it's what I consider to be average for a quick noodle fix.
