I tried this place despite some concerning reviews, probably should have listened. The daily menu wasn't vegan and the waitress wasn't super aware of how to make it vegan. When my food came out there was an egg on the plate so I had to send it back. The food was flavorless and weird. Cheap though. I wish it was better.
Quick service and good food. You usually have 2-3 choices for the appetizer, and 2 choices for the main plate. The only thing I don't like is that the food can get repetitive here if you go often (the same rice, the same sauces, etc), and when they bring you the food, the presentation can be fairly monochromatic. If the main dining room is full, there's another one in the back. The location is good, being in the Miraflores neighborhood where most tourists go. If you are a foreigner, they will give you the printed menu, which you can order from, but the best deal is the meal of the day. The meal of the day also comes with a glass of plain yogurt to which you can add some of the cane syrup (these are bottles of dark syrup that are on the tables). This is currently the best deal for a vegetarian meal in Miraflores. The meal of the day is currently 16.5 soles (April 2024). To get a table quickly you should arrive before 1:00 p.m. or after 1:45 p.m. They have free Wi-Fi. Updated from previous review on 2024-05-09
This is my favorite place in Lima. They serve very authentic Peruvian food, just without meat. I went with two Peruvians and they both loved the food. My wife claims this is the best vegan lomo saltado she has ever had. My non vegetarian father-in-law has been craving the sopa criolla (not vegan) for two days. He asked me today if we can go back tomorrow. LOL. 2024 Update: Still my favorite place in Lima. 6 of us had full meals, with a pitcher of jugo de maracuyá, and two ceviche de champiñónes to share, and walked out for less than $50. I love this place.#Veganuary Updated from previous review on 2024-01-12
El menú cambia varios días, encuentras todo el salón de las recetas típica de la gastronomía peruana en versión vegetariana. El ambiente es muy simple y la comida bien rica y casera. Los platos son muy bien servidos. También tienen muchas opciones ricas a la carta.
