Went for my birthday recently and thoroughly enjoyed my meal and tried a few others. Calamari appetizers were amazing, chicken marsala with mushrooms? was amazing and the chicken picata with capers was also amazing! Others also shaved over the Scampi. Worth the trip! View all feedback.

Our office ordered lunch from Tannins yesterday and every one of us was raving about the food. It was very well prepared and big quantities to boot. We will definitely order again soon!
Leo has just crafted a masterpiece for me! It's aptly named "The Tami," and it's either part of a secret menu or made to order.
After a 4-hour drive from Northern California to Southern California, I was disappointed with the quality and standards at this restaurant. The lasagna that I and two others ordered was served cold twice. After the second time, our server and the manager finally offered to refund our drinks. They then asked if we would like to order something else, but I ended up being let down by lukewarm chicken Alfredo. I have to say, I will never return to this place.
We went to Tannins with our neighbors who hadn't been in about 15 years. We are new to SJC and hunting for good restaurants. We ate in the cave, highly recommended) and the server was pleasant. The wine menu was reasonable. We ordered the Post and Beam Cabernet, which didn't disappoint. Between the four of us we had two Seafood Linguini dishes, one Tannins' pizza and one Penne Sausage and Pepper dish. We all rated our food from a B to a B . I am a bit sad, because I wanted to love the place. I found my Linguini somewhat flavorless. I added Parmesan and chile peppers to see if I could improve it, but honestly, it just wasn't great. :
