The restaurant offers delicious, fresh, and satisfying local cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Although not fancy, the food is full of flavor and the service is excellent. View all feedback.
What Eden Halvorson doesn't like about 1950:
The menu had limited options, with a better selection of appetizers compared to the main courses. The menu leaned more towards bar food than a traditional dinner menu, mainly offering fried and grilled dishes. View all feedback.

We were a party of and we had a great experience. My son had the surf and turf special, shrimp and skirt steak, which he said was the best meal he had on our vacation so far. My husband and I shared the rice special for It was rice and beans with chicken, steak, and pork and sausage. We enjoyed it very much. My daughter is a picky eater and had the corned beef empanadas which she did not like. They had a tomato based filling. My husband tried them and didn't like them either. I do wish they had their menu posted on the internet before we went to the restaurant. I would have made sure my daughter ate something else prior to our meal. Overall the restaurant has a cool vibe and good service. I would hope back.
Good food and service can be found at We like the fact that we can also dine outside as well. We come to Puerto Rico a few times a year and always include as one of our dinner options.
Table service is very good The restaurant is in a new location above the sister place Cafe Zucchero on the street level. The entrance is either through Zucchero or from the street through the proper entrance and staircase up to The reception/hostess was a bit confused with seating our party one person came first and was seated but the second person was nearly sent away due to the upstairs being full Well not only was the upstairs not full but the guest in question specifically told the hostess they were meeting another party. Besides the hostess miss the only other complaint is they ran out of Grey Goose. Happens I guess but not being stocked on such a popular libation on a Friday night seems odd. Food great, table service excellent, and ambiance very authentic love looking out from the balcony to see the hustle and bustle of Ashford ave.
