We ate there twice while staying at Casa Natalia. It is practically next door to Casa Natalia and a few steps from the main plaza. They make really nice fruit smoothies with what ever combination of fruit you want. We split whole wheat pancakes and they were good too. I think this place is underrated and shows it doesn't have to be top of the list to be good.The prices are quite reasonable. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cafe Calafia:
The place has cute decor and it is pretty small. When we got there it was half full and it took the server for ever to take the order. We were 5 people. It took 20 minutes to bring have of the coffees, my green juice and another 15 to bring the breakfast which came incomplete. One of the plates was forgotten so while we waited for it, we shared the food. They never apologize or acknowledge anything. We had to wait 15... View all feedback.

This cafe has a friendly staff and cute environment. quaint. The Gluten Free pancakes were great! And the Alkalised water make a delicious coffee

Un lugar muy agradable en el centro de San Jose, se disfruta un rico desayuno con una magnifica atención.
Good coffee, but at 8:30 am they had no pastries, except packaged cookies. The pleasant counter person went in the back and talked to someone, and brought out a croissant. I discovered too late it was very stale. Must have been around for a long time.
