Gratitud - San Jose

The BEST! Gratitud is a wonderfully cheerful, beautifully designed, and utterly delicious place to enjoy a meal. It was more than a meal actually — it was a peaceful escape for us, and we delighted in the artistic dishes and lush ambiance of the tropical garden bamboo easy listening music. Our server was so thoughtful and kind, taking excellent care of us throughout the meal. The food came out with great pacing, and it is clear how much love they put into each dish and beverage! The desserts are phenomenal too — just checking out the selection visually is a treat, much less the decadent flavors. We love that the restaurant is 100% plant-based. Vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike will all love Gratitud. The Beyond Burger literally tasted BETTER than real meat. No comparison. The warm specialty beverages (we had a matcha latte and golden milk) were some of the best we have ever had. The option of oat milk (and many others) was great! We are so happy to see this incredible dining experience in PZ. They just opened last week. Let’s give them all the love they deserve and support this phenomenal new addition to the community! This place is a hidden gem. I can’t believe this doesn’t have hundreds of reviews! The food was some of the best we’ve had in Costa Rica. The vibe and quality is honestly unsurpassed by most of the coastal tourist restaurants. Everything we had was delicious and impeccable. The service was lovely. Don’t miss the desserts, they are wildly good.

My favourite restaurant in Costa Rica! Everything on the menu is so delicious and made with so much love, my favourite are the mushroom fingers and tacos, my husband adores the pasta bolognese. The coffee is so good and do yourself a favour and savour a tiramisu for dessert, incredible. The staff is incredibly attentive and kind, the restaurant is so beautiful and kid friendly, we always feel so welcomed going with our toddler. I only have amazing things to say about this gem, I will be going again and again.

Absolutely the best restaurant in San Isidro regardless of whether or not you're a vegan. The quality here is outstanding . I only wish they opened earlier because 11:00 a.m. is too late for a place with so many good coffee choices including chemex, vandola methods and specialty coffees such as chaga cappuccino, magic tea and others. For our first time here we had one of their salads and the ceviche, both of which were outstanding. They also had many gluten-free options on the menu including a Snickers pie dessert. In addition the ambience here is elegant with bamboo furnishings and good ergonomic seating with Wi-Fi 50/20. This is a great place to get work done while enjoying incredible offerings. I hope they will open earlier soon!

Food was awesome, and great chilled atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the lounge music really adds to the experience. I’ll definitely go the re again.
