Winchester Coffee House - San Jose

A really hidden gem with great prices and perfect sized creations. This place is only known to the business center it's hidden in but worth a trip now you know. Their daily specials are available at 11:30am. I've always enjoyed the breakfast burritos and sandwiches. The owners are very clear in what is included and what's extra. A consistent place with great service. Check it out!

This place is a hidden treasure. Tucked in the back half of a Business complex on Winchester where there are no other restaurant 's or stores, The Winchester Coffee House has been in business at the same location for 30 years no sir that 's not a typo This place is truly special, small inside with 3 tables, patrons all who know the owner by name walk in and out grabbing the food to go. The atmosphere has no music and people talk at a normal speech level I could hear myself think as I sat at a table eating my food. Wifey ordered the Chinese Chicken salad and a 2 shot Mocha, I got the pastrami special and watermelon. All that for $18 and some change cash only Wifey like her salad and Coffee. The watermelon was so sweet and juicy. 4.5 stars The Pastrami sammi came with butter toasted bread, tomato, mayo and I 'm really not sure what else, all I can say is the flavors all married perfectly together. They sell lots of different chips, home made cookies, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, an array of soda drinks and bottled drinks, candy, mints, fresh brewed coffee, smoothies and they even have ice cream bars and sandwiches. This place is a total and complete gem. I am definitely thinking I 'm going to be a regular here.

Winchester Coffee House IS Open , and has been for for the last 30 Years! It is a small take out that is located at 1101 Winchester Blvd, Building P, on the corner by the front parking lot inside the large business plaza. Unless you know where it is, you may miss it. The store is owned/operated by Jack and Katie for the last 30 years and caters to the Tennant's in the plaza. Thus, the M-F 9AM-4PM. This is not a place to take the family as it is small and focuses on take out. There is no phone so you have to come in for ordering. There is some limited seating. Their food is exceptionally good. I have tried almost everything on the menu (yes, I am a regular). The iced fruit smoothies are the best I have found. Egg Salad sandwich, salads, BLT, and my favorite: Spaghetti with meatballs ARE the best. Why? Because everything is made fresh! They have great breakfasts and anything else you would want such as Ice Cream, sodas and home made cookies. The politeness and courtesy of the owners always makes you feel welcome and the store is very clean. Great parking and the prices are very reasonable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Winchester Coffee House (if you can find it).
