What User doesn't like about Poor House Bistro:
We tried 2 pasta dishes, they were fine, but the pasta was a bit mushy. It seemed like the sandwiches were the way to go. They had live music which was fun! People were up and dancing and it has a great atmosphere. There are some tables indoors and some on the porch and in the tent. Outdoor is the place to be. New location is inside mimosas cafe, wish they had a board outside. Miss the old charm of the other location. Food still great! And live music was great too!!
Not sure why everything is served in takeout containers, but the food is pretty decent and the atmosphere is nice. Lots of interesting menu items, will definitely have to come back again to try them out and also enjoy the live music

What a jewel of a place that took me so long to find this place! to foot from the san jose dridiron caltrain station. ae3some music venue. great food and excellent owners and staff. the first visit was on Friday and I made sure that I went back the next day and after that it was great to go next door to hear the delgado brothers in poor house bistro media
Jambalaya was delicious. Gumbo was good too. I'm filled. I'm gonna nap now.
