Don’t be fooled by this boring looking restaurant, the food here is really great! The food prepare is a bit slow but with that amazing food I could ignore that. View all feedback.
What My Vuong doesn't like about Lucky Chef:
Just ordered a few items, as it was the first time we've tried this place since the reopening. The Sesame Chicken, good gracious, so chewy with literally no taste. Bok Choy, not even going to go there, as it was bland and tasteless. Beef Fried Rice was actually decent. So, a star there. The soup wasn't bad either. Another star. This place is a hole in the wall, good food, like home cooking I would imagine. The owner of this place is very friendly, he's also the chef! I feel energized after eating here. If not this place, I'll make the drive to Milpitas for some Koong's
This is a very small chinese place (family owned) with about 4 or 5 tables inside. In terms of the food, pretty good! We dined in and ordered 4 lunch specials and chicken and corn soup. The corn soup easily served 4 people and was pretty tasty. For lunch specials the portion sizes are pretty big. We ordered Mongolian beef, salt and pepper pork chops, mango chicken and rock cod filet with black sauce. All the food was tasty, none of it was too salty. Some reviews here mentioned that mango chicken was bland, I disagree. I have grown up inhe bay area all my life and I consider myself a foodie and this place was good! The owner was very nice and attendant as well. I would eat here again.
Food was so good that it got me satisfied. Their egg and corn soup was so delicious. I definitely recommend it.
