The food was delicious. I recommend trying the gyozas as well as the Monterey, black fish, and Washington rolls. The bathroom was immaculately clean. The only thing I would suggest improving is the decor and atmosphere. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kampai Sushi Grill:
I attempted to place a pick-up order at this restaurant. I wanted to give them a chance because my regular sushi place was closed today. They answered the phone when I called, but then hung up on me. I tried calling back a few more times, but each time they hung up on me again. If I could give them a negative rating, I would. View all feedback.

This restaurant offers a variety of options at reasonable prices. The service is prompt and the food is delicious. The combo meals are always a great choice.
After visiting this restaurant three times, I was considering changing my rating to 5 stars. However, I noticed that during happy hour they serve chicken karaage in a small bowl instead of on a plate like during regular hours. It seems like you get less just because it's happy hour and you pay slightly less. Overall, the Salmon Lover roll is amazing. The Mango roll is tasty and affordable, I will definitely order it again. The specialty rolls and nigiri sashimi are reasonably priced and the service is good too.
This is hands down the best sushi place we have tried in San Jose.
