Armadillo Willy's Bbq - San Jose

Been a few years, not since before COVID. Gone downhill. Ribs almost as dry as bone, not even sauce could save them. Stingy portions, bread is now a paid side dish. Won't be back.Food: 2/5

Unreal how poor the quality of food is here. Tonight marks possibly the most disgusting bbq I have ever attempted to eat.The brisket was grey, tough, flavorless and cold. It’s as it’s been sitting in a cold pan all day but even that would be lending them too much credit.The lonestar chicken was cold, slimy, rubbery, and tasted like it had been bathed in artificial smoke flavoring.If you want food at this level for a cheaper price and served at a warmer temperature, head to Golden Corral.

Genuinely shocked at how mediocre BBQ can be. Dry, underspiced pork, served with (not cooked in) barbeque sauce. On the side. In a little tiny cup. No coleslaw or even pickles on the pulled pork sandwich. Three ribs for 20 bucks? Not to mention screwing up the order and serving cornbread with rock hard, frozen butter. Unreal.Food: 1/5

Sadly, I had to change my review from 5 stars to a single. This place has gone downhill and fast. I eat here several times a week, that is I used to eat here all the time.After my current experience, still trying to not just leave, which will more than likely be my last visit here, I waited 20 minutes for a beer and 35 minutes for a salad!?I spend hundreds of dollars here a month. Many employees know me by name and what my order will more than likely be. It is sad that I will have to find a new place to replace this once awesome place, where customer service was a priority and the quality of food and the food quality was a given. Customer service is not what it use to be. Food quality is suffering, customer experience is incredibly lacking!!

Very dry and under seasoned pork on my pulled pork sandwich. Did not come with coleslaw sadly and only a small cup of bbq sauce. Certainly not fork tender and hand shredded. More like overcooked and torn apart/cubed. Ordered with a side of potato salad, received a mediocre cornbread muffin with rock hard apple butter and no utensil to spread it. Massively overpriced for that experience. The only decent thing was the brioche bun which it the only thing they didn't make.
