Love that they have a whole vegan section of the menu to make things easy. I ordered the potato enchiladas with green sauce, which were very mild. I really enjoyed them. Also ordered a margarita at the bar while I waited. It came with chips and salsa, which were great. I went on a Saturday night and it was difficult to find a table, so make reservations if you can. Parking was also difficult, so I went to the end of... View all feedback.
What Vavrinec Labuda doesn't like about Adelitas Taqueria:
Ordered a vegan flauta plate and it came with both cheese and sour cream. Not sure if it was an accident or they just don’t fully understand vegan? It was a Grub Hub order so couldn’t send it back to ask. View all feedback.

The horchata contains dairy when the traditional drink is made with with rice and/or coconut milk. The tamarindo tastes like apple juice with added sugar. More plants would be ideal.
Everything from delicious food, great chips and salsa, yummy aguas frescas always served with a smile. Nice familial place. Adelita's is one of our favorite Mexican eateries when in San Jose. For dessert you must have the Flan
Had super high hopes for this place but don't think I will be returning. This place had such a wide variety of items of their menu which was a plus but what I ordered just did not impress me. Came in and was seated right away and service was good but nothing exceptional. The best thing about this place was the free chips, guac, pico de gallo, and salsa. It was the only thing that kept me happy while waiting for our food. I ordered a super burrito and it took almost 25 minutes to get it. This is honestly a long wait especially when there's almost no one else in the store. The super burrito had good flavor but it didn't even come with rice! This is one of the things I look forward to the most and it wasn't included. It's partly my fault for not checking the ingredients but almost every place I have been to had rice in their super burrito. Anyways, I also wish they had more options of salsa. There was only one red one and one green which I did not enjoy. The last thing I ordered was the horchata which was not good at all in my opinion. It was so watered down and probably one of the worst I've had. The restaurant had lots of seating and the prices of everything were pretty decent. About $45 for two burritos and two drinks. However, I don't think it's enough for me to return!
Adelitas is our go to spot for Mexican food in San Jose. I love that they have a BIG menu with almost any Mexican American dish you'd want, plus a lot of random things you never see other places offer. Prices are reasonable and it's a great place to add to your your takeout rotation. I alternate between ordering their tacos, burritos, and nachos. They also have gluten free tortillas for their burritos which is very hard to find! I don't know of any other places that has those. And they actually taste good. I also like that their tacos are big and come with lots of toppings, not like street tacos. One taco is genuinely enough to satisfy a small eater, or the super taco platter for a big eater. The only things I don't like are their grilled chicken (truly flavorless, avoid at all costs), their flan (bad texture, didn't taste fresh), and their refried beans (that last one is more of a personal preference. I ask for whole pinto beans when I get a burrito or nachos there). Parking is a nightmare so I would recommend picking up if you have 2 people and one can stay in the car and circle the lot while the other goes in.
