Contribute FeedbackToday on December 24, 2022 I visited Vanilla in San Giovanni La Punta for the second time. Let me start by saying that I am fascinated by the location, which alas... as often happens in our beloved land, attracts the visitor, but unfortunately with little professionalism. I would like to underline that... having read several reviews, each different from the other, and being an expert in the sector... The kindness and exquisiteness of the staff has nothing to do with professionalism. It is obvious that the customer cannot be kicked, and this applies to all the structures present in the area. When I read, or express an opinion, about Professionalism, I am referring to those typical precautions of those who know every facet of the sector, such as: How to serve a coffee; how the staff should behave, extremely attentive to what happens in the room, having a certain psychology in dealing with the customer, and much more that, alas, is missing in our territory. Today I consumed an exquisite Gourmet Pizzetta, which, barely reheated as it was cold, was almost inedible without the aid of a knife and fork, and no one PROFESSIONALLY... regardless of whether the customer asked for it or not, had thought about it, of how a Gourmet Pizzetta, after being reheated, with buffalo mozzarella, sloshing on all sides, should be enjoyed. This is just an example of Professionalism, especially when you pay almost €3.00 exactly €2.80 for something, which, although exquisite, leaves much to be desired, in many respects. Extremely high prices for Sicilian standards. The dress does not make the priest. And although the location is very appropriate, there is no need to boast or perhaps claim to be unique, in a different sense, when with much less you can have much more. Unfortunately, the average Sicilian gets carried away by everything that shines on the outside... but doesn't shine on the inside. Criticism is always constructive however, for those who have the foresight to grasp the concept. Happy Holidays, Marcellus
Terrible.. They served us and immediately after 5 minutes they chased us away with their eyes even though they had free tables and no customers. An employee came every two minutes to look at us as if to say: when are you leaving. Expensive prices for an aperitif, a small pizza cut in 4, a watered-down spritz and 4 olives which they took away without even making sure we had finished consuming. Terrible
4 of us arrive and none of the 5/6 employees responded to our greeting. Given that the bar was empty at the time, we ordered three coffees and were told we had to get a receipt before ordering. We consume coffee and in the meantime we see most of the staff with their masks lowered and intent on minding their own business. After having consumed our coffees we said goodbye, as we usually do out of politeness, and we were reciprocated with the indifference and silence of all of them. Non-existent friendliness, which is why we will definitely not return again.
A pranzo molta scelta, dolci molto buoni… Consigliatissimoooooo
