There were in our group when we stumbled upon the Ristorant Fronte Del Parco for dinner. William, the chef/waiter/owner of the restaurant was very attentive. He explained the whole menu in English to us and was happy to answer questions. He suggested the set...menu might be an idea and that servings would be sufficient for the of us. The set menu was each. The antipasti arrived, followed by several different pastas. of the pasta was ordered and promptly consumed. Then came the meat course ribs, lamb, veal to name a few. All delicious. Finally dessert was served. Altogether an amazing meal and experience. The wine, beer and soft drinks were also included in the price. Well worth a visit thank you William.
We were walking in San Ginesto, a small hilltop town when our friend had a diabetic incident. In my fractured Italian, I went into the restaurant, which was not yet open yet) and explained our dilemma. Immediately the staff got him orange juice and sat...him down while he recovered. Of course we returned for lunch and what a treat it was. I had egg plant parmesan plus a salad, my husband had a steak he almost could not finish, our other friends had a mixed grill of different meats and a big salad. It was delicious, and plentiful and we loved it. The staff is fantastic and nothing was too much trouble we bought them out of diet coke and they manage to give us ice for our fizzy water (ice in short supply everywhere) We sat outside, though the inside looked great, and enjoyed the views of this ancient town. I will say that driving up to these small towns was a challenge the streets are so narrow that you hold your breath to get through.
Seven of us turned up at Fronte del Parco last night. Among our party, had dietary restrictions, including serious allergies. I explained this to William, the chef-owner. Don't worry he said, in his charmingly accented, excellent english, leave it to me . We sat. Food...and wine arrived. food arrived. Yet more food arrived. This sounds like gluttony, but the proportions were well judged and everything was exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented. I didn't count the hours, but we spent a long time enjoying what we all agreed was one of the best meals we had ever had. The bill? I am too embarrassed to tell you how little we paid for this marvelous evening. Bravo William, bravo.
Eight of us visited this restaurant on our recent holiday, had a great night and went back the following week. It's a big premises and as we ate early pm because of our party had small children) the restaurant was a little quiet....William, the owner, was very welcoming and recommended the set menu, at a head, but said portions was enough. There was an enormous amount of food, antipasti, handmade ravioli and a various grilled meats. House wine was included in the price, making it the best value restaurant in the area. Well worth a visit.
