Reading the reviews, the main criticism seems to be about the staff. We had a meal here last night and it was great fun. It seems to be owned by father and son(s) and they are very funny. If you are in the mood and join in, it raises the place to very good and we had a most enjoyable evening The food was good but probably no better than many other places, but if you are up for a characterful evening, come here. What Leone Ricci doesn't like about Trattoria Chiribiri:
Food is basic and poor in taste. The waiters want to be friendly but they press and check if everything is ok every 3 minutes). Our bill was 37€ and we couldn't use our card. We had to go find an ATM because they didn't accept the visa. So disappointing. View all feedback.
The best gnocchi in the world !!!! fresh and top quality. nice terras where you can sit without a lot of people so very calm…. also the rose wine is amazing 11.5 degrees of alcohol d from the region

I picked this restaurant last minute (after looking at multiple reviews of places in town), and so glad we went. My husband, two sons (12 15), and I walked up to the patio from the steps and asked for a table. We never even saw the inside, but I know they were already full. They were so accommodating. Our waiter didn't seem to be fluent in English so he got (what I assume was) the owner, who was amusingly critical of my bad attempt at Italian, but dealt with us very well. I ordered tagliolini with saffron zucchini (so good), my 15-year old ordered steak covered in a gorgonzola sauce (he devoured it), and my 12-year old ordered the stewed rabbit. He had never eaten rabbit, but he spent 20+ minutes scarfing it down to the amazement of the staff. They even brought him a 3rd basket of bread so he could continue to sop up all of the yummy sauce. They joked about his appetite as they came back three times to get his dishes and discovered that he was still eating. We all loved our food, the wine, and the service and would definitely come back.
