Was not able to taste the flavors because each GF cone or cup is served from behind to avoid cross-contamination. We also have an individually wound spoon. felt very safe. The ice was amazing. Especially the grapefruit and the ricotta leaves. Wow! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gelateria Dondoli:
I asked the server if the chocolate gelato was gluten free because my son has celiac disease. She said yes but stuck a cone on top of his ice cream. I told her he can’t have it. She then took the cone off and handled it to us. I said no, that’s not safe for him. She gave me a nasty look and reluctantly scooped another cup for us. View all feedback.

Amazing Gelato! They had GF cones and got the gelato from behind to avoid contamination. A must when in San Gimignano
Unfortunately they don’t take icecream out of the back and there is a chance that icecream is contaminated. As a Celiac, that was too big a risk for me.
Gluten free cones and they got the gelato from the back to avoid cross contamination. The nicest gelato too.
When i mentioned my son has coeliac they went to get the ice cream at the back from a new basket, just so it was certain to be safe. I din’t have to ask. Also got a wrapped spoon with it. Very good first experience
