Your signature dishes are the Galbi-Jjim with cheese and the other dishes in this section of the menu. Their other standard soup dishes are also solid. This place had no Korean speaking staff so you need to do with English and numbers, but it worked. Large but busy parking lot. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sun Nong Dan:
The food is good here but the sever wasn't that great. The specialties short ribs was very tasty and it's big enough to share with 4 people. It takes about 30-45mins to come out so order something else while your waiting for the short ribs. View all feedback.
This was my first time visit to Sun Nong Dan. My party didn't order a lot of dishes. The two that we ordered tasted pretty good. There wasn't a lot of service being offered but on the other hand we didn't need many. I felt the restaurant was like a big hall. It can get very noisy when there are a good number of dinners. One annoying thing was there was a few flies roaming around our table.
Haven’t been here since Covid, and omg it feels good to be back and I really loved the new renovation. So bright and clean, very roomy too!Would recommend getting #3 combination for varieties, and #7 Galbi tang, the beef short ribs were so tender so good (my new fave now) Loved their banchan as well.Parking can be a little difficult at times (yea it’s a busy plaza) Service was friendly and nice. Will be returning soon!
You come here for only a few reasons:The galbi jjim, this is the only place open, or both.Galbi jjim is basically Korean braised short ribs and a massive dish that can be shared between 3-6 people depending on how much you eat and if you order anything else. Great flavors are quite homey tasting.I enjoy that this place offers you an almost-pickled onion and jalapeno dish which was really nice to pair with the rich and spicy foods. If you come at night after the supermarket is closed then there is plenty of parking. Otherwise, it may be kind of difficult to find a spot.
Holy hell the galbi jjim is insane. The tta Roh guk bap was so tender and flavorful. I liked that it didn't have noodles- it let the rice soak up all the yumminess!!
I found out about this place a year ago. It's 24 hours. The service is on point. The food comes as quickly as you order it.There are 4x popular dishes that are at a spectacular early bird deal at $11.99 until 10:30am.I've been coming back for many of my family celebrations throughout the year since. I came this morning to celebrate an early Mother's Day brunch with my family. We got here by 10am. Seated right away. Parking is valet for $2. We ordered the following:My favorite!!! #12 Tta Roh Guk Bap Beef Brisket with Dried Cabbage Soup) $11.99 before 10:30am then $15.99 afterwards)My sis got: #11 Sulung Tang Beef Soup) $11.99 before 10:30am then $15.99 afterwards)My parents got: #4 Tong Da Ga Ni Tang Ox Knee Soup) $11.99 before 10:30am then $16.99 afterwards)We are promptly in and out in an hour or less and everyone leaves happy and satiated. Such a deal and LOVE not having to wait for a long line to eat good food on celebratory days like Mother's Day.
