Wing Wings - San Francisco

I ordered takeout, but they didn't give me a receipt and forgot my macaroni salad. I won't be returning, which is unfortunate. The food wasn't even that good.

I usually really enjoy this little takeout chicken spot in the Lower Haight. They serve up large pieces of crispy, juicy chicken, and everything is freshly prepared when you place your order. Unfortunately, on my last visit, the chicken tasted like the fryer oil was a bit older than it should have been. Additionally, my order was overcooked for the first time, which left the chicken a little dry. Normally, this isn't an issue, so perhaps it was just an off night. I also find that their prices for chicken-only orders at WingWings are a bit higher compared to other similar places in the area. Overall, I still recommend giving them a try the next time you're in the mood for fried chicken or wings—the sides are quite good too!

If you love wings, you have to check out Wing Wings. In my opinion, it's only second to great tacos. I placed several orders, and while some dishes were outstanding, others were just okay. However, the bottom line is this: I highly recommend Wing Wings, and it's not just for wing enthusiasts!

I ordered Dry Rub Wings through GrubHub for my hotel stay, and they were extremely disappointing. There was absolutely no seasoning on the wings, making them bland and tasteless. It felt like they simply cooked the wings, tossed them in a box, and sent them out without any care. To make matters worse, there was no complimentary ranch sauce, so I had to eat these flavorless wings plain. I understand that their sauced wings might be a hit at the restaurant, but if the dry rub wings are going to be prepared this poorly, they shouldn't even offer them on the menu.

I had a late lunch there yesterday, and while the food was good, it wasn't exactly what I expected. The chicken biscuit had a nice flavor and was well-seasoned, although it was a little dry. The sauce was just okay. Additionally, my order took a bit longer to arrive than I had hoped.
