Souvla - San Francisco

Friends recommended this spot while we were visiting San Francisco, and it was an excellent choice. We dropped by for lunch on a Friday and were pleasantly surprised to find no line. The place was bustling inside, but we managed to find a seat. It’s a fast-casual restaurant, and our food came out quickly. We ordered a chicken pita that was absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the oranges and sauce that accompanied it. They also offered a house hot sauce that complemented the dish nicely. Of course, we couldn’t resist trying the Greek frozen yogurt topped with baklava crumbles, and it was incredible. The yogurt had a delightful tartness, which paired perfectly with the sweetness of the baklava. This place is definitely a fantastic lunch option!

The food was excellent. I ordered a chicken salad, a pork sandwich, and Greek lemon soup. The pita bread was incredibly delicious, and the salad was fresh. My order arrived almost immediately. The highlight of my visit was definitely the frozen yogurt. I was curious about the flavor with olive oil and sea salt flakes but wasn’t sure if I would like it. Fortunately, the cashier offered me a sample. They serve a lightly sweetened Greek yogurt soft-serve with a drizzle of your chosen flavor. I have to say, that olive oil and sea salt combination was a true gem! You definitely need to give it a try!

I absolutely love this place! It's incredibly affordable and the food is delicious, featuring a straightforward menu. It’s one of my go-to spots for lunch or a casual dinner. They offer a few items in various combinations (like salads or wraps) and everything works wonderfully together. I highly recommend the chicken salad, which comes with pickled onions and oranges – it's fantastic! Be sure to order the fries with the granch sauce, and definitely don’t miss out on the frozen yogurt topped with baklava. They also have a charming heated patio that stays sunny well into the afternoon, shaded by trees.

Was really looking forward to this spot as I?ve seen friends hyping it up for years. Got the chicken wrap and my parter got the pork wrap ? meat was flavorless, fries were just ok, not enough sauce on either of our orders. I?d put this in the same lane as Panera as far as being a mid-fast-casual destination, but just a touch better when factoring in the quality of ingredients. After eating at places like Flour Water, The Mill, Craftsman Wolves, Tartine Kantine allweek, this place didn?t even slightly compare

Ordered their chicken and lamb sandwiches for lunch. Both were good but the highlight was the fries? you need to have it with the sauce? that?s mandatory.
