Signature dishes like the chicken and lamb salads receive praise for their freshness, though opinions vary on the meat’s seasoning and cooking. The speed of service is a highlight, making it a convenient choice for a quick meal. While the fries leave something to be desired, the affordable, fast-casual vibe draws in a steady crowd. However, some patrons are put off by the restaurant's ambiance and limited vegetarian options, raising concerns about its overall dining experience.
Located on Valencia Street in the heart of the Mission district, this Greek/Mediterranean restaurant offers a solid dining experience. The ambience is pleasant, with olive trees outside and striking images of a Greek man with a notable mustache inside. All entrees can be enjoyed as either a wrap or a salad, with options including rotisserie pork, lamb, shredded chicken, or a vegetarian option with sweet potato. The dishes are filled with grape tomatoes, pickled red onions, cucumbers, kale, and feta cheese. This spot is known for its reliable and healthy fast casual/counter service at a reasonable price of $15. They also serve wine and are part of a popular chain of four restaurants in San Francisco. In addition, they now cater to JetBlue Mint customers.
I usually don't enjoy salads, but the chicken salad at this restaurant was delicious. It's a quick and convenient option if you're short on time but still want to enjoy a nice sit-down meal. Ordering our food upfront and getting it at our table only took about 2 minutes. The frozen Greek yogurt topped with Baklava was also amazing, particularly if you enjoy tart desserts. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was for only 4 dollars. I will definitely be a regular at this place now.
If you're torn between the pork or chicken, I highly recommend the chicken! I give it 5 stars - it was delicious and the orange flavor added a unique touch. However, the pork only gets 2 stars from me. The meat was tough and lacked flavor. The tzatziki also needed more garlic. As a Greek native, I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant. I dined here twice during my visit to San Francisco.
Affordable and tasty, fast casual Greek cuisine. Choose a wrap or a salad and your choice of protein. Very excited about the new black bean, plant-based lamb substitute. It?s not traditional, but it?s definitely delicious. The texture is perfect and when dressed with yogurt, pickled onions, and more, it definitely holds its own against the lamb, pork, or chicken. The kale salad is also excellent. Fries are standard fare, have had better at Ayola downtown.
Salates and packings were great. we tried the chicken and lamb options, and I love the chicken salad. frozen yoghurt was also quite good. fries was okay, nothing special.
