My boyfriend told me that he wanted an 'old man cocktail and old school food ' for dinner, so we went to North Beach Restaurant. I had heard good things about this place for years, but had never eaten here before. What Juanita Lee doesn't like about Proper Food:
I came here b/c a co worker chose that day's lunch spot saddest salad I've eaten in awhile. Jaysus...it was so bland. The dressing was like a grown man's tears that turned sour after sitting for so long. You would think that there's salt but nope! All I know is I'm never coming here again because it wouldn't be a proper lunch if I did! View all feedback.
You can ask them how many calories is in their foods and they have a little lookup list at the register. Nice!

Ate there for lunch while I was in SFO visiting. The food was sooo good (essentially anything with chickpeas was to die for). The vegan cookie was a pleasant surprise how good it was. There is a nice sitting area with young shade trees to eat and watch everyone walk by.
Coconut prawn and kale salad is soooo good and filling. Obsessed with the farro and the dressing.
Healthy, tasty, fast, reasonably priced. Plus, their Power Breakfast may be the best value breakfast in the city so good!
