Pink Onion - San Francisco

This was one of our favorites on our recent trip to San Francisco. It was a quick Uber from the financial district. The food was soooooo good. Prices are very reasonable. Service was superior. Don’t hesitate to try this restaurant.

Discovering this restaurant in my neighborhood was a delightful surprise! Arriving on a bustling Friday evening, it was clear that the social media hype had attracted more customers than expected, making the place quite crowded. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand in the small space.Despite the wait of about an hour, my husband and I were eventually seated at a cozy table for two. The moment we sat down, we were served ciabatta with olive oil, which was a welcomed appetizer after the long wait.We opted for the Magic Mushroom pizza and the Giovanni Special, and they were simply amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the crust was divine. A solid 10/10!Im a big fan of a Basque cheesecake and after spotting it in the menu we couldn’t leave without trying it. The cheesecake had super creamy and rich texture. I absolutely loved it!Overall, Pink Onion exceeded my expectations. Despite the initial wait and the limited space, the food was truly exceptional.

Might be my new favorite Italian spot in the city?? My roommates and I came on Wednesday night for their combo deal (appetizer, pasta, pizza, dessert and bottle of wine for $55!! incredible deal!! , and we were blown away by every bite. For our appetizer, we got the vegetarian burrata plate, and it was the best way to start the evening the strawberries were so fresh, and the combination of the glazed walnuts and the arugula gave the dish a nice mix of textures and a good combo of sweet and savory flavors. The burrata itself was sooo creamy, and we loved all the blueberries too.We ordered two pastas (one as part of the deal, one on the side just to add on : the rigatoni vodka pasta, and the pesto. My mouth is still watering over the vodka pasta... it was actually spicy, and the pesto was so nutty and rich (I recommend ordering gnocchi instead of the original pasta shape! The pizza had a very thick crust and I added a lot of red pepper on top for some spice! I'm devouring the leftovers as we speak. Everything went great w the bottle of rose, and by the time we ate the tiramisu (so fluffy. so creamy. we were in the biggest food coma of our lives and fell asleep content! Also they have the nicest and most patient servers!!! Perfect small restaurant ambiance for an intimate dinner or girls night!!

We came here for the Wednesday Combo Meal and we loved it soo much!!!! The ambiance, service and place are rlly cute, and they also have some great music at the place! Spicy vodka rigatoni rate this a 9/10. The sauce was super creamy, rich and flavourful and we finished it very quickly! For the app we got the burrata plate 8/10. The burrata was very yummy and they served it with a lot of fruitWe got the number 12 pizza pesto, ricotta 8.5/10! Basque cheesecake 10/10 super light, flavourful and fresh! We kept wanting more You also get a full bottle of wine in this combo red white or roseOverall, amazing experience, we will definitely be back for more!
