I stopped by here for a quick lunch between shows during CAAMFEST. There were a few groups but we were able to get a table. I ordered the yellow corn arepa w/ shredded beef pabellón. The cashier was helpful and our orders came out quickly. The whole dish was so tasty and the flavors were really balanced. I wished I had the time to try more. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. View all feedback.
What Grace Y doesn't like about Pica Pica Maize Kitchen:
Casual spot in the mission. I ordered the sweet yellow arepa with shredded beef pabellon. The plantain was good but the beef itself was really dry. I needed to drown the arepa in the sauces on the table to eat the beef. The yuca fries were also not as crispy as I would've liked; definitely have had better elsewhere. View all feedback.
The food was amazing. I will be returning again. Not to many places to get Arepas or CachapasFood: 5/5
I had the Arepa with the vegan filling and some yucca fries. So delicious and me and my family will come back! Also the sweet plantains we’re super yummy! Good deal for the price and very delicious!

Food is delicious, all the arepas I tried did not disappoint! Service, I just wished lady was friendly, it felt as if she was just not having a good day. Ambiance is casual, super laid back. The only alcohol they serve is beer, which I don't care but this is just a statement for those who might be looking for other alcohol options. Lastly, the only thing that I did not like was the sauce bottles, they were clogged so you were not able to freely gain access.
