While some rave about its generous portions, exceptional flavors, and warmly attentive staff, others lament a less impressive culinary journey characterized by average tastes and uninspired decor. Guests have noted that the ambiance and cleanliness can detract from the experience, particularly when insect issues arise. Yet, for those seeking authentic, budget-friendly Indian cuisine, there are standout dishes like butter chicken and korma that shine. Overall, it appears the restaurant caters well to casual diners but may disappoint seasoned enthusiasts of South Asian flavors.
What an incredible restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to all of our requests. The food was absolutely delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience at this place.
The food at this restaurant is incredible. It is full of flavor and authentic. The chef even went out of their way to make our meals fresh for us, even though they were just about to close.
My family of five visited San Francisco during a casual trip and decided to dine at a restaurant with a 4.2 rating on Google. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of our worst dining experiences. Upon entering, we were greeted with a foul odor, possibly from someone smoking nearby. Flies and tiny insects were buzzing around, creating a less than appetizing atmosphere. There were only two staff members in the kitchen, one of whom only appeared after we had to make some noise to get their attention. We ordered two starters and four different curries, which arrived promptly. However, none of the curries had the traditional South Indian flavors we were expecting; instead, they seemed to be cooked with a ketchup base and all tasted similar and unremarkable. The starters were mediocre at best, with the only highlight being the plain naan. Overall, this restaurant is not suitable for those familiar with Indo-Pakistani cuisine, but may be passable for those who only try South Asian cuisine occasionally.
You get what you pay for. Cheap indian food gives you cheap interior decor and poor cleanliness. Food tasted very average as it does at a small indian place. Nothing i had not tasted before with a common tomato gravy. Might be something new for anon-indian who has not had a lot of fancy and expensive indian curries but that was not the case for me.
Fantastic little place. Was very quiet when I went but the food was fabulous. The nice gentlemen also let me charge my soon to be dead phone there lifesaver! Cheap prices for good food. i had the Korma which was out of this world.
