The decor transports you straight to Central America. The menu features Tex-Mex dishes along with Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine, all of which are delicious and hearty. They offer an amazing strawberry sangria that might seem unusual but is absolutely delightful. There's no full bar or fancy waitstaff, just great food served in a casual atmosphere. What Jose F doesn't like about Los Panchos:
I used to come to this place in my twenties. The food was good, but the service was bad. Now, however, both the food and the service have worsened. The pupusas lack flavor, and the filling... View all feedback.
The gentleman who assisted us was very pleasant and attentive, as was the lady who took our order. The restaurant’s atmosphere is inviting, and I really enjoyed their Mexi/Salvi decor. However, when it comes to the food, it was lacking in flavor. I had expected handmade tortillas, but unfortunately, I received store-bought ones instead. As for the pupusas, they had a milky taste—perhaps they used a cheese that contributed to that flavor? The biggest disappointment for me was the atol de elote; it had a soapy taste and didn’t taste like corn at all. It was creamy, but it seemed like flavor powder with maizena was added to it.
The food is rich and flavorful. The chicken soup at Pata is packed with ingredients, and the pupusas are absolutely delicious.
This place has the best pupusas and sangria! The chips and salsa are also fantastic. I absolutely love it here!
Amazing food and service. Can in in a Friday night with my whole family over 20 of us and the service was fantastic. I ordered two pupusas con loroco y queso and also ordered the “El Pancho Maco Vegetarian Burrito.” The plantains inside the burrito perfectly complements the authentic salvadorian crema, beans, rice, and cheese. The pupusas were a perfect pairing, as the salsa and curtido balanced out the burrito. Our server was awesome. She was very attentive to all of us despite us being such a large group.
As my friend from Tijuana remarked after we cleared our plates, this is probably as authentic as it gets! This food is absolutely amazing, the amount of times I said wow between bites would make you think I 'm a broken record The Carne Asada con Platanos was something sent from heaven. The buttery goodness of the Carne Asada paired with the Frijoles, along with the sweetness from the Platanos made every bite more and more enjoyable. Don 't even get me started on the Pupusas, I have no words as I slammed my hands to the table out of pure joy and relief. I HIGHLY recommend you go for these if you 're looking for a cheap but feeling bite! They have a unique horchata that gives it a crispier and more richer, earthier taste to it. It reminds me of a traditional chai tea turned into a horchata with grainy/rice notes. Very toasty, very delicious!
